Hannibal Regional Hospital honored the birth of the first baby of 2010 by providing the baby and baby’s family with gifts donated by the hospital and local businesses. 

 
Alexander Brian Flowers was born to Rosalina and Brian Flowers, of Shelbyville, MO, at 2:09 p.m., January 1, 2010.  Alexander weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.
 
Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation and area businesses teamed up to provide Alexander and his family with special gifts valued at more than $1000.
 
  • A $100 Savings Bond provided by the Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation 
  • A gift basket from Hannibal Regional Hospital that includes an infant onesie that reads “First Baby of Year 2010”, t-shirts for the first baby’s mom and dad, diapers and wipes, baby toys and a baby book 
  • A dozen roses for the mother provided by Griffen’s Flowers 
  • A photo session provided by Michelle Huseman photography 
  • Hair cut and style for baby’s mom provided by The Loft 

  • Gift package from The Powder Room, including a 1-hour massage and pedicure for baby’s mom and two ornaments and a brag tag 
  • A one-year subscription to the Hannibal Courier Post

  • Diapers provided by Kroger 
  • A wooden train toy provided by the American Puzzle Company 
  • A gift basket from Birthright of Hannibal that includes clothes, toys, diapers and wipes, onesies, baby memory book, fleece blanket and a handmade baby afghan 
  • A harmony breast pump and a childcare binder provided by the Chris Coons Women’s Care Center at Hannibal Regional Hospital
